The Legacy of Greece and Rome

The governments of ancient Rome and Greece influenced how the US formed its government.  Look up a current event (must have happened within the past month) that shows how the US government has used the principles of Greece and Rome in its government.  For example, freedom of speech, discrimination, jury trials, etc.  Describe the incident, detail what happened IN YOUR OWN WORDS, and give at least three (3) ways you see how this incident is related to the principles of Rome or Greece.  MAKE SURE TO USE YOUR NOTES!!!  This must be typed!!!   You must use Times New Roman font, size 12, and it must be double-spaced.  This is due Wednesday, August 28, 2013.
